Hemlock Bridge Trail Hocking Hills State Park

There are six major hiking areas in Hocking Hills State Park - Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave, Rock House, Conkle's Hollow, Cedar Falls and Cantwell Cliffs. Each of these park areas offers a unique experience for those who walk its paths no matter what season.

Another trail system is located near the cabins (and where the lodge stood). This newest trail takes hikers to a swinging bridge across Old Man's Creek as it connects to the Old Man's Cave Gorge Trail. Partway, hikers can take a short walk to Whispering Cave, the second largest cave in the park system. The hiking area has a scenic overlook, hemlock-lined trails, and a huge recess cave. It runs 1 1/2 miles long and connects the lodge and cabin area to the midpoint of the Old Man's Cave Gorge Trail. It has the first-ever swinging bridge at the park which connects the two points over Old Man's Creek.

All trails are open dawn to dusk all year long. Hikers must remain on designated trails.

The Hemlock Trail is 1 1/2 miles with stairs and cliffs. It takes about a half hour to hike.
